i would like to invite comments on which of these 2 skills i should obtain next.

i already have all the non-faction smarts skills (incl research) bar one.

if i am in an agency, which one is more useful - lockpicking? or the last smarts skill?

thanks!!

I would get my last smart skill first unless you have that townie as a contact

I find lockpicking exceedingly useful as it can buy you an extra question or two (although it seems to be random as to when the suspects are out so that you can break in). The information you'll get from the diary is either their alibi (finding "nothing useful" means they don't have one) - or some extra suspects.

But I'd get all your smart skills together first as you don't want to be missing out on evidence.

Your agency members can help you with the evidence in the lab. So lock picking would be my first choise right now and after that the last smart skill. You wil need to be patiente though till someone looks up your evidence in the lab. So if you dont want to wait everytime you have that kind of evidence go with smart first.
Both are helpful.

Oh almost forgot: it also depends on which smart skill you mis exactly. I assume it is an advance one.
