The fox tail boa didn't bother me, I don't know why. But now I've seen a "seal skin hat" and "seal skin coat." I'd like the word "imitation" put in front of those. Anyone with me?

I don't think that in the time sleuth is taking place, an "imitation" seal hat was that charming... The whole game is taking place in an era where it was a sign of luxury/charm to wear those items.

I'm not saying it's cool to wear those items in this day... but in the time frame the game is set, I think it refects the values of the time it's set...

I totally agree Dark Raven. I was about to make the same comment myself concerning the era in which Sleuth takes place. No "imitation" fur back then, only the real deal.

And I believe the "imatation" would have been real fur anwyays, right, just a lesser valued fur like rat.

You are all correct. I wasn't thinking in the proper venue. Cocaine use was accepted too.

okay, but if they were just ripping fur off crappier animals to imitate foxtails and whatnot, where would they have turned to farm crappy skins for imitation seal?

I'm thinking manatees. Stupid sea cows...can't even milk them :(

Chunky though, so...lots of skin, anyways.

LOL, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of the 80's band. I pretty much grew up with them and had made a replica of that mask on the Metal Health album cover in junior high metal shop! :-)
