Well, I'll tell you, with all the movies there, I would like to know what are the Sleuthers favorite quotes. You know, things said by characters that leave an imprint in you mind. It could be finny or sad or anything...as long as it isn't anything dirty. Well my favorite comes from the best comedy movie of 1985, based on the best-selling board game " Clue"

In the game, Mrs. White is a maid. In the movie, she's a widow that her husband has mysteryiously died...

Anyway Miss Scarlet says to Mrs. White if she miss her husband and in returned Mrs White says:

"Well you see it's a matter of life after death. Now that he's dead I have a life."

Anyway...what's yours?

I have another favorite quote- it's from the anime series InuYasha.

"What's that supposed to be?"

"The iron cart, obviously."

Anything from A Few Good Men, that movie is one big quote fest. I have met long life friends at parties because they can quote that movie word for word.

Princess Bride is another filled with goodies. And Labyrinth.

I watched Music and Lyrics last night too, and although it was mostly too long and dull in places, it had some great quotes like:

Alex Fletcher: [singing] Sleeping with a clown above my bed...
[spoken] "Clown" is not right.

Alex Fletcher: "But God didn't have a hit song. Oh, wait, He's got the whole world, in his..."

And there's a line in Con Air that I adore.
They're in the desert and Cyrus is showing the cons his plan in the sand with sticks and things,
And this con goes, "What's that?"

So Cyrus, with the best ever face John Malovitch has ever pulled in his great sardonic voice goes, "It's a rock." Genius.

I also like this line in Die Hard:

Hans or Lars or whatever his name is, the main baddie is negociating on the phonethe release of terrorist groups from jail

Baddie (to Hans): Asian Dawn?
Hans: I read about them in Time Magazine.

Oooh, ok if you know me...you know that I am seriously seriously obsessed with Carrie. Well, I just saw it. Now I still love the I see dead people, but I have two from Carrie. Ok Ready, Set....GO!

Mrs. White: They're all going to laugh at you

Miss Collions: You too, Chris, and spit out that gum.
Chris Hargenson: Where will I put it, Miss Collins?
Miss Collins: You can choke on it for all I care just get it out of your mouth.

Miss Collins rules! Betty Buckley was awesome in that role. I love her voice. It has a certain....it's just pretty. She is a singer. You have to see it!

I love a lot of the same movies Goonies and Labyrinth, but my favorite line is from Pretty woman. It is when Vivian walks back into the dress shop where they treated her bad and says to the clerk."You don't remember me I was here the other day" and "asks you work on commission?"And the clerk nods and say" yes"and Vivian then says to all the clerks,"big mistake,Huge"I may not remember it exactly, but that is the main point.

*puts on a wet tank top and practices "the lift" with Biggie under the watchful gaze of Jerry Orbach (before he died, because...yuck, floater) in a really shallow lake, and totally has the time of his life*

*owes it all to you-ooo-ooo*

Han Solo: Uh, everything's under control. Situation normal.
Voice: What happened?
Han Solo: Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
[winces]
Voice: We're sending a squad up.
Han Solo: Uh, uh, negative. We had a reactor leak here now. Give us a minute to lock it down. Large leak, very dangerous.
Voice: Who is this? What's your operating number?
Han Solo: Uh...
[shoots comm]
Han Solo: [mutters] Boring conversation anyway.
[shouting]
Han Solo: Luke, we're gonna have company!

Hi all...Newbie here.

Favorite script line in a movie for me, was when I recently saw the movie "Cold Mountain", in which the character Ruby stated something that
rings so true, even today.

To paraphrase...Ruby said: They call this war a cloud over the land. But men made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say, s**t
it's raining!

I also liked the line in the movie Justice For All, in which Pacino yells out to the judge: No, YOUR OUT OF ORDER!

Peace All

Man, Crunch, for an intellectual skinny perpetual student, you're strong to lift *me* up...I would have thought it was the other way around.

You do have some pretty sweet moves on that log though. I'll be the Sylvia to your Mickey any day!

C'mere lover boy!
