Hello.
I decided to subscribe today, and this Agency thing looks interesting. I am not quite sure about what it is yet, but I think I would like to join one.
At the moment I try to get all the smarts skills, but I have no contacts, and I does prefer playing the easier cases.
If there is sevral agencies that's interested in hiring me, I will look for one with a philosophy of giving advice and help, but not taking "my" cases. If I am able to give any help or advice in return, I will of course most delightfully do so. Also, I am not prepared to pay anything to join an agency, but I don't expect being paid either, even though it's called hiring.

Hi Huglover.
Almost all Agencies do not expect newly-hired agents to contribute rent for the first few weeks of their employ while they're rookies (usually lasts anywhere from 1-4 weeks, but it depends on the Agency). However, most Agencies do expect their Agents and Officers (ie, promoted detectives) to contribute to the Agency's upkeep and maintenance. Most, again, do this by charging rent. Amounts vary from Agency to Agency, but an Agency only survives as long as it has detectives willing to work there, so most don't charge exorbitant fees (usually somewhere between $1000/week to one favor reward item/week, again depending per Agency).
So, if I were you, I would check out an Agency's Rent policy before you sign on with them. Agencies also usually have some kind of 'casework' (ie.-who solves what cases) policy, so that's another thing to ask about.
Hope that helps a bit!! Good luck!! ;-)

Well, when I do consider how much money you actually are able to earn when you are subscribed, and play say half of your allowance (6 a day) during a week, $1000 is the price for 4-5 cases with my low experience level. Then it should not be a too high price.
One question though, how is this kind of game-money transferred?

When in an agency you can deposit money directly into the office safe or transfer money to a team member.

Michael,
Fat Kitten only employs active members (has a subscription). You may want to advertise to see if any laid back agencies would let you in instead.

I am sorry if the note I put in Aug-20-2007 did not tell clear enough that I have become a happy member of an agency. I was luckily invited by Fat Kitten. Right now it's true that I seem to be un-employed, but I do trust that Fat Kitten will invite me back. (The reason for this short un-emplyoment is that I have done a quick retire-reactivation, and thus also loosing my agency employment). I was so happy to be a member there, so I do hope for a "re-welcome" from Fat Kitten. That agency became part of my love and blood, so I will not choose another agency unless they say I am not welcome anymore. ;-)
