Depends on the mood... when I'm in a "I want to strangle people" mood, I read a murder mystery. That way I don't murder anyone myself and have to go to prison. That would not be fun. If I'm in an "I want to escape reality" I read fantasy or sci-fi that leans toward fantasy (not a big fan of robots/creepy know it all computer stories), and when I'm in a happy mood, I go for parody, classics, or realistic fiction. :) Basically, they are all my favorite genre, except horror. Horror is scary. :P

To continue with books.... What is your favorite book ever?

Where The Red Fern Grows. Even though I first read it many, many years ago, I have always loved it.

Music is the food of the soul. I don't know if I can name one song and it might be a different one tomorrow. The one that I always pause to hear though is "Oh Sherrie" Steve Perry. I am so in love with that man's voice!

Ella Fitzgerald. That woman had a voice like cream and could probably have made 'I'm a little teapot' sound like the most soothing sexy sound ever.

I always loved the series that had four books, one of which was about chicken soup and my favorite had the main character, a young boy, saying 'I don't care' to anything that was asked of him. Eventually he ended up upside-down in a chair and with maple syrup in his hair. I have no idea what the titles are, but the series was great to look at at bedtime story time. Richard Scarey's books were great too.
