Maddie, it's just mean to ask people like me to think back all those years. Sadly, I remember that far back. I loved my Fisher Price Little People (they were made of wood back then). Between me and my brother, we had a huge village of people and buildings. Ahhhh, those were the days....

The Weasley twins I find them the most entertaining and honest of the characters, everyone else has an agenda or communication problems.
Who's your favourite gothic heroine? (I'm thinking of the genre of literature.)

lol, I'm thinking that despite her proximity to vampires and such, Buffy herself might not qualify as 'Gothic', so I'll go with the *second* most popular women's studies term paper subject, Lilith. Best succubus ever...not counting that glory-hole on wheels Adam Carter/Jonny calls a summer job :P

Definitely going swimming in a nice, clean, kid-free pool. Of course, there's no place in this burg to find a nice, clean, kid-free pool, so I still suffer with the heat. Pity me.
What's your favourite way to spend your day off when it's all raining and gloomy outside?

Curling up either in bed or on a cosy chair drinking tea and coffee and reading a good book.
Maybe Patricia Cornfield or Harry Pans or Stephen Queen.

Laurie R. King, she's brilliant, incredibly well researched so she never says bizarre things that are grossly inaccurate, and she weaves a very good mystery. I love all of her novels.
