Really Weird!

hello, I read on a newbie topic that only subscribed people can get contacts. and I´m not subscribed, but I completed a favor job for the banker yesterday and she became my contact!
was that topic wrong?
also, on my case history, there are the quit, solved, false accusations and now a scripted mysteries count, but I can´t play featured mysteries. Is that normal?

oh, and I got a question... if u have 1+ on politics with a faction, u´ll be able to visit they´re HQ as I read on a topic, and I´m very much a friend to the dies of arcanum, but where r the other 2 factions HQs? Thank you very much

Whoever said only subscribed detectives can get contacts doesn't know what they're talking about. :D

Only subscribed members can play scripted mysteries (same thing as featured mysteries) except for The Unread Will

In NY, LCN is at Real Estate Agency and OOS is at the Mayor's Office (City Hall)

correction, the unread will is now for subscribers only as well. i checked with my unsubscribed detective and that one cannot play any feature mysteries right now.

Non subbed can have 2 contacts in NY. Subbed can have more since they can travel to other cities.

thanks everyone, I´m glad to know I can have contacts, it´s really useful.

now I´d like to ask another weird thing: in the begginind, I used to get 3 or 4 skill points for every case I solved, and they were beginner and easy usually. now I´m on really hard cases and I only get 1!
shouldn´t the points increase or at least stay the same? or when u begin the game u get more, so you´ll want to play more and more, but then you get disapointed, like when I started, almost never the game was full, now all the time I try to enter it´s full and I can´t login so I barely play at all!

As your experience level gets higher, the amount of experience needed to get a skill point also grows. I've read comments from people saying there is a pattern to it, but I've never bothered trying to figure it out.
