In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!
The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.
Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.
After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.
The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.
Please begin sending your nominations and entries to me ASAP, and good luck!

Yeah, about that... I guess this proves the tourney isn't fixed, now doesn't it? No offense to the Biggster, but I had 3 weeks of honeydo list items riding on the Patty taking the proverbial taco here.
Stupid spring cleaning...

On the Northern Edge of New York City
The Pfeiffer Estate
Breit and Dave's Cottage, the former Carriage House of the Manor
Maggie, the Pfeiffer family cook, opened the front door to find a man pressing repeatedly on the doorbell. It was the smarmy reporter that had been interviewing various people all over Sleuthville. She looked at him frostily as he continued banging away on the doorbell, "May Ay 'elp zu?" she asked him in heavily accented English.
The reporter looked up at her and smiled insolently at her, "I need to speak with Mrs. Adams, if you'd be good enough to let me see her, please."
"Ze Miss is not 'vailable right now. Ay am afraid..." she started to reply but was cut off by him as he shoved his way in the door.
"That's okay," he replied, "I only wanted to ask her a couple of questions anyway." He pushed his way past her and began poking his head into the various rooms, "Mrs. Adams? Just a couple quick questions for you?"
Suddenly, Dave appeared at an entranceway, napkin in hand. The pleasant smile on his was belied by the steel in his eyes, "Maggie? You okay?" he asked the older woman kindly.
Maggie smiled slightly, "Oui, Mon Capitan. Zis man is 'ere to see ze Miss. Ay zink 'e is 'ere about ze Tournament she is in."
Dave's smile turned a shade colder, "Ah yes. You must be a long way from home, Sir. She's in here, if you'd like to ask her one or two short questions. Then I'm afraid you'll have to excuse us. We have some other business to attend to."
The reporter stepped into the room to find Breit in the middle of lunch. Ignoring her startled look of surprise, he plopped down in a chair and fired questions at her.
"What do you think your chances are of winning the Tournament, Mrs. Adams?"
Breit stared at him for a moment, puzzled, "I s'ppose just as good as anyone else's, Sir."
"Do you think you'll lose?"
Breit blinked at him, "I really have no idea one way or the other, Sir."
