In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!

The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.

Please begin sending your nominations and entries to me ASAP, and good luck!

Opening my big mouth to say VOTE FOR BREITKAT!

What a classy lady! Since I met her, she's been nothing but helpful and informative. She roleplays constantly and wonderfully. She often helps out with "how does it work?" explanations on the boards. She ROCKS!

I realise that a vote for Breitkat is not a vote for Barry Grant, and I'm sincerely thinking of going to Serges' house to beat him with a rabid wombat for this pairing. Because, seriously, Barry rocks, too.

But vote for Breitkat because she has one thing that no other sleuth in Sleuthville has - Missy!

Compensated endorser Alex Trebek walks into the mix (see, I used a Canadian this time to get that hockey vote) and says:

"Vote for Serges because in the span of his entire lifetime, he has never once eaten a baby." (Gotta get that family demographic, too)

Serges then walks in and rolls 2d4 (in order to appease the role-players) and casts Magic Missile on a pile of Nancy Drew books (sorry, some groups I just refuse to cater to...)

So remember, a vote for Serges is a vote for Canadian game show hosts, middle America, 3rd-person hijinks, and all that is Sleuthy!!! (Except for Nancy Drew...)

Well, at least you weren't attacking the darkness...

VOTE BIGGIE!!!

I spent a long time on this one, and its definitely one of the hardest match-ups we've had so far, but I am throwing my support behind the Bostonian :)

Over the last few months she's made me laugh, kept me entertained, helped me out when I needed it and when I didn't. She's committed, friendly and not afraid to speak her mind. Her talents in handing out "pleasurables" are second to none, and she makes a great mistress ;)

VOTE SERGES!!!

Probably the next hardest match-up we have. Now, my respect for Canadians is almost unbounded, (You did give the world Celine Dion, but I can forgive you), so you will all understand when I throw my weight behind Serges on this one.

Since I practically suck at sincerity, I'll just go with the flow on this one.

*Poor quality toasting voice*

The AVL, Knifeboots, Hitchhikers. 3 things that may not have been without this man. His consistent refusal to eat babies, devotion to hunting, and general "Serges"-ness is an inspiration to a generation of budding sleuths.

So, when you're at the booth, mark your X's beside Serges and Biggie today! (or tomorrow!)

*with Oh Canada playing softly in the background*

Well, I have been informed I couldn't drop out, so I'm forced to toot my own horn again.

Why you should continue your votes for Flaps...few others in the running here have the unique skills that I can offer and bring to the table. Having grown up as a small boy in the ancient forests of British Columbia, in a small logging community, I didn't have the luxury of sitting through lectures on bus safety like all those lucky urbanites. I sat wide eyed through lectures and training on Bear Safety and "how to survive bear attacks".

Send me out into the woods...
Send me out to city dumps...
Send me out into Sleuthville...
The beasts may maul me...

...I'll still walk out with most of my limbs and the breath to laugh!!!

A vote for Flaps is a vote for surviving bear attacks.

I am so torn on this one, I don't know how to say it

Biggie is just an awsome, awsome, person. She works her bum off for the hunts at HHs, while she runs another agency. She is always making me laugh both her in the boards and in IMs. She is loyal, she is funny, she is cute, she is a great team player and and she is still on the top scores. Sleuth would not be the same without her.

Having said that, Kagome is also a great gal. Goodness, she is almost a saint. You guys remember who she's married to. *ducks* *swirls to avoid the kicksatbing*

Thanks guys!

Its now time for me to reveal my new campaign slogan!

*A VOTE FOR BIGGIE IS A VOTE AGAINST STDs*

Some testimonials:

Some bouncer somewhere: "Biggie528 can really hold her liquor, It's her balance that worried me the most. Plus, she kept talking about going out back... or in back... or from the back... i can't remember. But one thing about her, she carried more protection than TLC in the early 90s"

The homeless guy on the corner: "I asked Biggie for money outside of the subway. She seemed very sympathetic to my plight, and handed me $.30, a condom and a Sleuth Sidekick Coupon. And man, can that girl DRESS!"

The nurse at the free clinic: "I've known Biggie for years! She volunteers her time helping runaway pregnant midgets babyproof the sockets that are too high for them to reach. All she asks in return is a lifetime supply of pregnancy tests and antibiotics"

As you can see, I spread my love frequently and easily, and educate at the same time.

And so, in closing, to the citizens of Sleuth: tell the world that you don't like crabs, herpes, or urinary tract infections!

VOTE FOR BIGGIE (the clean candidate)

**disclaimer: Kagome rules and is totally clean also**
