I'm getting hints to ask people that I can't even find on my map... What am I doing wrong?

You need to ask suspects if they know anyone's motives. When you find out someone's motive, they show up on the map screen. If you want to accuse someone, you MUST have their motive. Motives are important in this game, and that's why they aren't showing up on your map screen; because you don't know their motive.

Hope that made sense.

In sum, ask everyone for a motive first, until you have your full field of suspects!
(there's a different number for each difficulty level)
- and be sure your client has a motive, too. If you don't see an option to accuse your client of committing the crime, that means he/she doesn't have motive established yet.
You can ask other suspects about motive to find this out, or check the alibi first to find out if your client's alibi is real - whichever seems less wasteful in terms of questions.
You want to use your questions wisely before the clamming begins...

That happens occasionally. It's ok. Just keep going along with the case.

There are a few people around here....I won't name names.......who get positively gleeful when someone on the suspect list dies!

Yeah, serves them right for being so uncooperative.

Yeah and that knocks someone off my suspect list, which makes things easier on me...when that happens.

I always like it when someone dies (I was being referred to, I KNOW it!). Not because death is cool, but because it's a differnet twist. I ALWAYS REALLY like it when a suspect with a Fake or No aliby dies. That HELPS out.

jojo, You are being paranoid - how could I know you love it when someone dies? I have not heard your cries of glee. But now, you have exposed this part of your character to the world....meanwhile, those other death-happy people out there....well, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
