I have created a sleuth miracle!

IT IS THE UNHIJACKABLE THREAD!

Go ahead and try, but this thread is about anything and nothing, all at the the same time!

This is the place where Al can talk about world domination, Crunch can worship David Hasselhoff, SS can try and find even more complicated questions for his pub quizzes, Nikkie can advertise for Tim Tams, cfm can troll for more Sharpie victims, JR can beg for the chance to win Bobo back, and bedazzling can be a way of life!

So go off, rant and rave, talk about anything, i don't care, I just wanted to see my avatar on the page (when its actually me anyways)

So go ahead, I dare you all to try and hijack me :)

(contnued) I left Dunedin the day after New Years with Pete and Jesse, they were going through to Queenstown for the cricket. They were going to drop me off in Cromwell where I could hitch to the West Coast from Haast.
We'd all been working nights so getting up at 9m to leave was a bit of a miss for us all.

Pete was a little worried and concerned about my safetly, but by this time I'd hitched the length of NZ from Invercargill to Nelson at various times, in various trips. There had only been one time I was even slightly concerned for my safety.

I'd gotten picked up in Christchurch and a guy said he was going through to Timaru. The Cantabury Plains also have a lot of pine, and it was driving through here that he turned off the highway onto a dirt track through the pines. Although, nice enough to start off with, he'd gotten slightly creepier as time went by. I got the feeling, although ok-looking, he'd never had a girlfriend.

I weighed up my options, stick with it or try to leap out of the car. There were plently of tools and stuff in the back so I decided if worst things came to worst, I could always try and bop him over the head.

We stopped and he told me to get out, he had something to show me.
So, making sure I either a) space to run or b) something near by I could to hit him with I got out of the car with me.

He kind of hestitated and them walked over to a barbed wire fence that had fallen over, "Here, come and look at this" he said. I don't quite remember, this was four or five years ago.

He showed me this maasive whole in the ground whose walls were all brick... and there were heaps of rusty and ld cars in it. Apparently the hole had something to do with WWII and now people threw their old cars in it.
We got back in the car and after him making a few odd remarks, we got back on the main road. Although nothing happened, it made me wonder how thin the veener of civilisation and morality is.
Do I think he could have murdered me? No.

Do I think the idea of rape passed through his mind? Yes.

Although not scared, I was relieved that I got to Timaru safely. And that was the only time I'd ever been slightly afraid for my safety.

Pete and Jesse dropped me off out of Cromwell and about two minutes later I got a lift to just outside Wanaka where I could start making my way to the West Coast.

By now it was late afternoon and I got picked up by a hot, young guy called Marcus. He was working/living at a backpackers near Makaroa. Which was a bonus since I needed somewhere to stay for the night.

We stopped off at the Hawea Pub for a pint, the same wee pub I'd actually spent snogging in the new millenium, well, the year 2000 anyhow.

After a pint we continued on our merry way and Marcus offered me his bed for the night while he'd take the sofa. Hot and a gentleman.
We had a few cans of pre-mixed bourbon an dcoke while driving. Not something I'd do now and something even then I knew was pretty irresponisible. But I was on Holiday, the air was fresh and I was driving through beautiful NZ with a hot guy. In a lot of ways that holiday and trip washed off the last vestiages of childhood and was pretty much the last time I felt like a kid. Not to say, I don't act like one still, but I grew up after that holiday I think. I know some people look back and don't know when they become an adult, but for me, it was after that trip.

We stopped before we got to the Backpackers so Marcus could do a spot of fishing in the lake. NZ is really beautiful, I was feeling really mellow and chilled out and it was nice just sitting on a log drinking, listening to nothing much.

When we got to the Backpackers, we had some beers with some of the other workers, had dinner and went to Marcus's cabin to chill out.
We played Enimem while listening to the Tuis and drinking some more before going to bed. Needless to say, no one used the couch.

I have this kind of obscure theory about correlation between people who love to play detective games and their signs of the zodiac. If anyone would be so helpful as to post his/her sign of the zodiac over here. If I have a significant amount of participants, some valid conclusions might be drawn here....

Okay, my sign is Scorpio. That's one for Scorpio.
