Just out of curiousity (and the fact that I just submitted my own pic), how many people have their real picture as their avatar?
PS Whoever you are Alyssa Milano, I doubt thats REALLY you....

For good or ill, Remington Steel's face is my own.
I've been tempted to replace it, for the story theming, but eh... I'm used to my face.

Well, I think it would be safe to reveal here. This is a picture of my grandfather. Some of you may recall reading in the "Avatar" thread that jstkdn thought that was cool. Yup, that was me.
And that commnent is probably what endeared me to jstkdn and now think of her as a "dollface".
*wink*
(BTW, I just had to put away a guilty party with jstkdn's image. It tore me apart!)

Thats such a cool idea, one of the girls in my agency has a picture of her grandmother which is awesome...wish I was more inventive that way :)

<------------------ actually (prepare to be shocked) NOT an unusually swarthy garden gnome excavated from your parents' backyard tomato patch circa 1972...that's me.
I've seen the Alyssa pic too; definitely also one of Eliza Dushku and a handful of others floating around where you wonder about the fine line between flattery and fakery. And speaking of 'fine lines', Squirrel, is that a little patch of white powder I see on Sir Arthur's illustrious schnoz?
kidding, natch. I had no idea that's what he looked like; like an idiot I always figured he looked like...well...Jeremy Brett's treatment of Holmes!
I like when people use their own faces for avatars. Go Biggie! The grandparent thing is cool too, but if I used my grandfathers pic I would have to change my name to Kojak (paternal) or Drooling Lou (maternal).
And I find doll faces absolutely terrifying. 'Specially if they don't shut their eyes when you put them down.

No you could be onto something there CP. Might explain Mrs Doyle's confusion over never hearing the typewriter whenever her illustrious husband told her he was off to the study to drop a few lines.
