Recruitment tampering?

Last nite, I responded to a thread in the recruitment boards from Racheal Greene letting her know that ERF TEAM was interested. Upon checking to see if she responded back, I noticed my reply was gone (deleted)....
As this is the 3rd time this has happened to me, I've alerted Ben. If and when he finds out who has done this, I will ask that they lose their status as board moderator.
If anyone else has noticed this and didn't think much of it (as I did the 1st two times), please PM Ben as well. The last thing we need is someone trying to block anyone's efforts at building a better team. I'm not going to go into who I think it may be, but I am asking everyone to be watchful, because this may have happened to you as well.

Maybe we are all a bit upset that this issue was brought up in such a public manner..why not PM Ben eh..privately?

And while I hope you are just venting and not really thinking of banishing ERF for ever, I can't say that jstkdn did not have a valid point. You did not name names but it sounded as if you knew who had done it. And there are not so many mods around here and we know them pretty well. Can you blame us for taking this, shall we say, a "wee bit" personally?

Don't you think thats sort of drastic Chron? I mean, if it was an issue where you KNEW this was happening, I could sort of understand, but since the whole issue is kind of moot, you know, with the whole deleted by moderator thing, does it make sense?

I brought this issue out in public because I had responded to a 'public' recruiting board. As it turns out, I got a few pm's from other directors who had the same thing happen to them, but also didn't think anything of it. They didn't add their thoughts to this thread because they see how everything gets twisted and screwed around here, and too many people get bent out of shape. I don't blame them one bit!

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

As someone who is not a Director or Officer for an Agency, I must say that being in the Technical industry doing Helpdesk Support for Hospitals, I see things happen like this all the time. Things that are beyond control. I've owned and run mailing lists, I've been a moderator on mailing lists and just an active participant. There are times I've sent an email 5-6 times, because it has never shown up. It's not something that can sometimes be helped. Things disappear. This is the internet and comptuers we're talking about here. They're not perfect.

For the time that I have been here, I happen to think things run pretty darned well. I'm glad that Ben and Sunny have given us this wonderful site to play on. I have noticed where moderators or directors have removed posts, and when a post is removed from a thread, there is a note mentioning that it has been removed. Not why, just that it has. I know our hosts and our moderators work hard, as do the people that write the cases for us. We need to give them our thanks, and work to help them figure out what may have gone wrong, not blame one another and not be rash and leave over something that apparently no one has any control over.

What happens from your computer when you are typing something in, vs what happens when the server computer receives it is always an unknown. That's what the ethernet is. We just need to realize that it was created by people for people. It's not perfect. But only working with things and people can we try to make it better.

Kudos to you Ben and Sunny for what you have done here. Thank you for the hard work. I know I have greatly enjoyed myself...well, except for 'one' thing that I've PM'd Ben about and yes...Ben...I'm still thinking of writing a feature on that to submit for y'all to take into consideration!

"It's possible there is a bug that caused this. I've been making a number of changes to the message board code lately, so a new bug may have been introduced. "
Chrone, Ben explained what may have happened. It could have been a bug. Please don't it as a personal attack against you or your agency. I think what happened is people took your comment as an accusation, and got defensive. When people get defensive, things get ugly...

I was fine with it, as I stated in my reply to Ben. Then, of course, the whole can of worms has to be opened on an issue that had been resolved! I get defensive when I see a good agent looking for an agency, I respond, I go back to see if she replies, my reply is there, then I go back a second time to see if she replies, and then my response is gone! I've been working with computers since PUNCH CARDS (mid 70's) and I know of no glitch like that! And as I said before, it's the THIRD time it happened to me! My agents know me to be a very thorough person, and I get my facts as straight as possible before I say anything, so this wasn't some whimsical fancy. But it's all a thing of the past...I'll leave you all to your own devices.
