Ok, I know this sounds stupid, but I can't figure out how to win! I've only done 2 different mysteries (on different names) and both times I guessed the people whose alibis were false and both times I was wrong! I went to all of the buildings and talked to all of the people--who by the way clammed up--and I can't figure it out! HELP!!!!

It might help you to read the Welcome newbie thread! Lots of great info in there. Also you can take the player tutorial to better understand when you can accuse.

I agree with Serena playing the tutorial should help you a lot.

And don't give up yet it takes a little while to get the hang of it but when you get the basics it's easy to pick up the rest.

Also don't play cases too hard until you build your skills up, take it gradually.

GOOD LUCK

Actually that formula is slightly wrong.

PE + Liar/none = Guilty
WE + Liar/none = Guilty
WE + WE = Guilty

PE + WE does NOT equal guilty without checking that person's alibi.

I am new to this game. What do PE and WE stand for in these equations?

PE + Liar/none = Guilty
WE + Liar/none = Guilty
WE + WE = Guilty

PE + WE does NOT equal guilty without checking that person's alibi

PE = Physical evidence (found at the crime scene)
WE = Witness evidence (when one of the other suspects says "yes, I suspect X because...") :)

I fell like an idiot. I took another look at the equations and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I can't believe I couldn't see it before.

Nah, don't worry about it - if it wasn't because I'd heard those equations repeated a thousand times, I'm not sure they'd make immediate sense to me either :)
