Smiles,

yes you get messages from other detectives here in Sleuth.

This has been covered a couple of times recently on these boards and is covered in the Welcome Newbies thread.

The short version for you:

Make sure your Pop Up blocker is turned off. (Firewalls can also effect this)

Then go to City Hall.

Click on Send a Private Message

Look for your own detective, then click on send message.

If you get that message then you know you are good to go.

I'm really sorry to dissapoint u but u cannot get "mAssages" from anyone. Although, u could get some in a spa or saloon.
What u can get is "mEssages" by following R Anslett's advice.

*takes a dictionary to a saloon, gets it really really hammered then asks it if it wants to come over to his place for a nightcap and a nice laid back massage*

LOL. I made a spelling mistake while commenting on someone else's spelling mistake. That's just great.

Actually I live in Delhi, and many shops over here have lotsa spelling mistakes cos their common language is Hindi and not English. So basically, I've gone to many Salons whice are called Saloons.

One of the best mistakes i have seen are "GET FAT FREE" being written as "GET FAT, FREE".

The best sign I've ever seen was not quite a mistake, but more of a poor choice of words. It was a message outside a United Methodist church called "Church Of The Cross". It was meant to be an inspirational message, but it was very poorly phrased: "Don't let worries kill you. Let the church help."

I found the site where I saw the picture I just mentioned. There's a bunch of funny signs here.

Odie: that's hysterical!

Another mistake that I get a kick out of is when a store describes itself as a "Stationary" store.

For those of you without a dictionary, they meant "Stationery" which is very easy to remember the difference:

stationERy = papER
