So far, Squirrel is in the lead with 5 out of 11 answers right. Serena and Greyling each have 4 out of 11, followed by Rosamund with 3. I'll wait a bit to see if there are any more takers. (Free doggie cookies to the winner!)

This one was a ton of fun. I LOVE Dogs
1. Serena Siren was right on -- sporting, hounds, working, non-sport, terrier, toy and herding
2. Irish Wolfhound as the breed, however, a few years ago I saw an article about a Great Dane that stood 7 feet tall.
3. -- I'm going with Chihuahua too. Not my favorite dog tho--
4. According to 101 Dalmations FALSE
5. Basenji's do not bark. and I'm definitely sure my neighbor's wished that is what I owned!
6. vibrissae (not sure if it's spelt correctly, however)
7. Chow (also the Chinese Shar-Pei)
8. Black and White last I heard but I know it was more like shades of grey if that counts.
9. Since 1800
10. Boy this one is tough, I think it's in Illinois actually.
Bonus -- Had to cheat and look it up in the Encyclopedia -- it says period 20 days before to 20 days after the conjunction of Sirius and the sun. Originated on the Mediterranean.
