If the safe does not contain enough money to pay the rent when it's due do I get some sort of notice or am I just evicted without a word?

Well, you have 2 days to get the money and you will get a notice I presume. If you don't pay after those 2 days, you will be evicted and you have to start over, with everything lost...

Yeah I know I have two days to pay the overdue rent. My question is whether or not I will get a notice that there is rent that is overdue.

I'm not sure but i think that you won't, just like you don't get a notice every day to pay it.

I see. Well personally I'd like to think it would be logical with a function to notice when you fail to pay the rent because of insufficient funds in the safe than to have one every day to pay it. It's not like you'll point out to a person that you meet on the street that their shoe laces are tied. ;)

From own experience I can tell you that you don't get a notice when the safe is empty at turnover (so that you might get a hint about having to pay some rent...) - or may be, to be more precice; You cannot be sure to get the notice... It's actually the same with other kinds of notices that we are told you will get as a warning, like when your subscription is due to be paid...
But, hey, you are a sleuth? ;-)

Thank you, Irene. Informative.
(Although you have the notice on your "detective"-tab that tells you when your subscription expires.)

Are you S'PPOSED to get a notice that when the bankbox is empty, and you're about to be booted out onto the street?? Yes. Has that little improvement to the system actually HAPPENED yet?? Far as I know, No.
(Course, this was "supposed" to have happened since way back in the annals of Sleuth history. Haven't seen it happen yet. I wouldn't be expecting that improvement anytime soon. Sorry.)

P.S. -- Irene's also talkin' bout the fact that you're S'PPOSED to get an email from Hypoware when your sub is about to expire. Never seen that one happen either. B.

Personally I get *all* my mails from Sleuth stuck in the spam filter. xD It's something about the headers.

Wow, I will have to say I do always get an e-mail alerting me that my subscription is about to expire.
Go figure ...

I've got to say I've always received an e-mail reminding me about subscriptions but there have been problems before with other people, who's e-mails have gone straight to their spam filter.
