i can't find any info on villain hunts anywhere, besides the paper announcing so-and-so caught archvillian mr. meanie. Can you give me the details? I have a feeling I'm too much of a noob to handle one, but I'd still like to know how archvillains show up in the game and what is involved in nabbing them. Thanks.

There's info galore about how to do villain hunts if you do a search of the boards. There's quite a bit associated with them, though, that's considered "spoiler info", so some specifics can't be divulged here on the boards.
The two things you MUST have in order to do an AV hunt is you must be Subscribed, because AV hunts involve traveling to the various cities in Sleuth, and secondly, you must have over 100,000 points exp., because AV hunts involve solving Almost Impossible cases, and you can't open AI cases with less experience than that.
Other things that most people will tell you come in very handy to necessary are to have most of your advanced interviewing skills, at least on one side of the hierarchy, and your advanced smart skills, and to have both W/E and P/E contacts in all four cities (NY, London, Shanghai, and Delhi).
Those are the basics of what you need/may want to have to start an AV hunt. You've got a ways to go, so keep up the good work, and good luck!!
