I don't like to read, which is kind of contradictory when I play a game such as this..
So I just read "The Mysterious Affair at Style" by Agatha Christie.
Here.
In game.
Anyone else read any of the books in the game (and I mean actually read the book)?

Not me. I mean, I mighta read some of them when I was a kid, but honestly the only mystery books I have any conscious memory of reading are by Robert B. Parker, Sue Grafton and Philip Kerr.
*weatherman voice* this trend will prob'ly continue at least until Ben and Sunny can mutually agree as to whether Archie Comics count as bona fide mysteries.
After all...SOMEone had to hide Jughead's hamburger. Who, oh who, could it be?

Yeah, Butch. It took me something along those lines to read it.
For those of you who didn't get it, I meant if you have ever read the books in the game, in the game. Ie read them through on the screen. ;) That's what made me fear for my sanity.

And since Lil mentioned it please keep the boards free of Harry Potter spoilers, I've got to wait for my wife to read our copy before I can get my hands on it!

Just to combine both ideas.
HP 7 is likely the last paper book I will read.
I have only read eBooks for the past few years. I have skimmed the Books here in game, but not read the full thing. I have over 275+ on my Palm at any one time so I can read when ever and where ever I am: waiting in line, bored at work, laying in bed, etc.

I have read ALL Agatha Christie´s books and most of Arhtur Conan Doyle´s too. Edgar Allan Poe didn´t make it for me.
In my youth there were no internet and Commodore 64 was the hit.
Paper books were the thing ;)

Ok.. so I'm the only one who's actually read a book in the game I take it..
I must be losing it quicker than I thought.

Or perhaps on the absolute cutting edge of a new breed of well-read, but perpetually squinting sleuths.
Environment, shmenvironment, I can't stand reading on a computer screen. It makes my eyes want to bleed. I get enough of that working and studying that when I read for pleasure, the absolute LAST thing I'd want to do is look at a monitor of any sort. Plus it's just generally kinda nice to have some time not totally colonized by the digital juggernaut.

Dont worry Jim, we could share a cell in case you ever get sent off in a mental institution. Finished reading Deathly Hallows this morning and as I hadnt anything else to do on a Sunday went and read The Adventure of the Empty House cause it was fairly short =P. Just finished it and I dont think Ill read the other books through here again.... my back hurts. -.-
