I was doing a favour case and then nobody wants to speak! They gave me their alibi's and that's it, everyone! I got 4 suspects and i knew for sure which is the guilty one. But then, no motive! I can't get a motive on her!!!! So I can't accuse her! so frustrating.

Yes, I understand you. Thatīs why I first speak with the townspeople, to see which ones doesnīt know anything and ask them for motives, then the other ones for witness declarations. In general, it works for me, but it may need money to pay the townies sometimes.

I was using the 'townspeople first' method for awhile, but found it affected my ability to confirm alibis and physical evidence. What I find most frustrating is that more often than not when they clam up none of my abilities are offered to get them to talk. What's up with that?

Darius, the skills you use on suspects are different to the ones you have for townspeople. Suspects need interrogation or sweet-talking, and townspeople need intimidation or rule-bending (in each case, the former if you're tough or tought-smart, and the latter if you're charming or charming-smart).
