I am shamelessly going to post this, so I then shamelessly can link to it from the moderators picks.

Hoping that we get more people subbing. For the simple reason, this game exists because people subscribe.

(Disclaimer: Mods, or even anyone else...make money of this game. It is volunteer run. Subscription money is used to pay for hardware and software to run this game.)

Weel, I have the money but the problem is that I don't have the time.
I've created my detective maybe 3 or 4 years ago... but i play it once in a while.

So... I dont fell like paying for a month and then for some reason (work) i'm not able to play for some time.

I've experienced other non-profit communities that have the full functionalities for all users and the live upon donations.

doing so, the regular subscribers that are really envolved would keep donating and you would also get some outsiders donation.

Have you changed your password since you first signed up? I know when I had to use my Noir password to use my reserved character in SoM it wanted my the original password I used when I signed up.

hello everybody there....

I can well understand the urge to subscribe.....I have played the game for only a week and still i can feel the urge....
But there is a problem..

I live in india . and being a student don't have the enough pocket money to buy a credit card.

I m not saying that i dont wanna pay for subscription....I can well pay the cash. But using a credit card for that is out of my league....

So can someone plz tell me how to write a mystery and what are the standards expected for approval....

I mean plz tell the format of the mystery...

Or ever if someone can tell me the way to have my cash accepted....

Thnx in advance...

Hi there Shankysodhi -- Welcome to Sleuth! Now, for your subscription problem there are a couple of solutions. One is to go find a method on the web that will allow you to exchange your money for money on the web. They used to call it cybercash or something. I'm not sure which services are still out there (maybe a more web-savvy person could come to my rescue), but I would think there's still something similiar out there for you to use.

As for the second solution, boy, are you in luck. As of the night before last, a new contest started up. It's taking place at Big Lucy's and it's for UNSUBSCRIBED members ONLY. So the next time you get a LARRY THE TOE case and have $500 Sleuth bucks to spare, pay it, find out where the Cabaret is, go there and POKE AROUND!!!!!!

Finally, about the problem of writing mysteries, there are a couple of threads in the City Hall message boards under Writer's Workshop. Specifically, "http://noir.playsleuth.com/map/cityhall/post.spy?id=26441" and "http://noir.playsleuth.com/map/cityhall/post.spy?id=22179" may offer the most help. Another solution is to play a Scripted Mystery (and there is one available in New York to unsubscribed players). A third solution is to PM people like Miss Helen, Lady Jaz, and Secret Squirrel with any questions you have.

Good Luck, Happy Sleuthing and DON'T GUESS!

Oh you can also send a cheque or postal order by mail. The details and address are at the bottom of the subscription page.
