Some of us have interesting reasons to pick a detective name. What is yours?

jstkdn which some people don't realize right away stands for JuST KiDding! It is something I tend to say a lot in real life after a lot of sentences. A good friend of mine in the US had jstkdn as a license plate of her car, so I wasn't that inventive myself.

My previous other agent was PM, which stands for Project/Program Manager, my profession in real life.

My only detective that I currently play with is freelancermountaineer. Only because Freelancer was taken. Sidney Bristow in the Alias series uses two call signs freelancer and mountaineer.

I love this topic!

Well L Lawliet is the name of my favourite fictional detective, from the best anime in the world, Death Note. At this point I'm damn sure there'll be people sneering & scoffing at anime. To them I'll say, don't you dare judge what you know nothing about.

Death Note doesn't deserve to be clubbed with childish obnoxious anime. The series is an intricately woven masterpiece of sophistication and suspense, an exquisite battle of wits and a heart stopping game between the deuteragonists. The world's greatest detective and the world's most brilliant yet unhinged criminal, hunting eachother and being hunted. The psychological and tactical warfare is a treat for the grey cells.

L Lawliet is the world's best detective. Bizarre and utterly eccentric, yet adorable and often very attractive, to put it in a nutshell. Arguably one of the best anime characters ever, if not one of the best fictional detectives. Hence, my name

It's a combination of my first name, plus my middle and last initials and my love for astronomy, specifically, stars, constellations and Orion.

Ken + S + H + stars = Kensha Starr. The a is because it sounded more feminine this way since my detective is a Jessica Fletcher, Murder She Wrote type.

I picked a name I liked the sound of when I wrote a series of hardboild detective short stories. I sort of imagine Rick Meadows as played by Bogart (who played a few Ricks but that was subconcious)... sadly I had to pick a generic avatar though.
