Why did you pick your detective name?

(sticky post)
Some of us have interesting reasons to pick a detective name. What is yours?
jstkdn which some people don't realize right away stands for JuST KiDding! It is something I tend to say a lot in real life after a lot of sentences. A good friend of mine in the US had jstkdn as a license plate of her car, so I wasn't that inventive myself.
My previous other agent was PM, which stands for Project/Program Manager, my profession in real life.
My only detective that I currently play with is freelancermountaineer. Only because Freelancer was taken. Sidney Bristow in the Alias series uses two call signs freelancer and mountaineer.

... or so I thought at the time, up until I finally decided to come to the message boards, which was literally yesterday, heh. Wanna know something really interesting? My actual middle name is Joseph and everyone has always called me Joey for short, go figure. *Looks around nervously* Coincidence? Or conspiracy? :D

Joey "Bulldog" Bane

Well now...my paranoia says...CONSPIRACY!!!
However, the "official" explanation is that Joey Bane is the main character in an old kids game called Gangsters 2. Bulldog is...just something I see in the miror every mornin'....

Deanna Durbin, Detective
|
Jul-13-2012 00:26
I chose my name because I'm a fan of Deanna Durbin, who once starred in a mystery movie. I have always loved mysteries, thus explaining both the detective at the end of my name and also my presence on this website. The addition of "detective" after the comma cannot be explained, for I cannot remember. It just sounded good at the time.

Kesla
Assistant Postman
|

Ok, Kesla just came to me, and I've always loved strong female names ( yes my character is male, I know). I love all books, but mysteries and fantasy top the list, and Erylin came from a book I read so long ago, I don't even remember wha the name of it was, but the loved the name. Xia was the name of my beautiful German shephard that we took on in her later years. She was bred for police dogs on our police force. We had her 5 more years before she passed,,and has been one of the most amazing pets I've ever had. Raz Matazz was just for fun. Think that's all!

I really REALLY wish that we had a Roller Derby team in Tuscaloosa. All the other "big cities" in Alabama do. But I am too busy to organize it myself. However, if we had one, my name would be Hellen Wheels and I would love it!

Kyle XY Rocks
Pinball Amateur

I posted a while back about my name. Instead of changing it. It has been turned into a character in my sister's stories. Kyle Xaiver Yowah Rocks. A man of insanity, and crazy ethics. Kyle spends his spare time at his diner assaulting his staff, or saving Wolfie's behind from a murderer with a wooden handgun. Crazy? I prefer undiscovered genius.
