Some of us have interesting reasons to pick a detective name. What is yours?

jstkdn which some people don't realize right away stands for JuST KiDding! It is something I tend to say a lot in real life after a lot of sentences. A good friend of mine in the US had jstkdn as a license plate of her car, so I wasn't that inventive myself.

My previous other agent was PM, which stands for Project/Program Manager, my profession in real life.

My only detective that I currently play with is freelancermountaineer. Only because Freelancer was taken. Sidney Bristow in the Alias series uses two call signs freelancer and mountaineer.

Mine is not to original. Being an EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) the nickname 'Doc' kinda got stuck to me by my paramedic father. It's not used very often but I figured I could create a viable background with it. Since 'Doc' had already been taken here I just threw in my last name, Ross, to ensure that I could keep it.

Waaaay back in the day I wrote a few short stories based around my alter-ego of Jesse Dean Hunter. The shorts weren't anything special, and I don't really know where the name came from. I actually can't even say why it occurred to me to use it here. I had actually typed in my usual nonsensical screen name and erased it and used this one on a whim.

I dunno where the name came from either, but honestly my first reaction is to think you might have been under the influence of Jimmy Dean sausages. Or if you're a vegan, Jimmy *Bean*. Or another delightful breakfast protein. Jimmy eggs or whatever.

heh. Jimmy is a funny word.

Teerawk is my gangsta name, so I decided to carry it over to my fictional detective, seeing as his background is ex-burglar. :P So, yeah. Not too creative, but oh well.

I love the store Hollister, one of my favorite numbers is 45, and I think it is cool to have the word,"Detective" in front of your name, since that is what this whole website is about.
