Traveling and Favors

I've found a bit of a hard time when I come to traveling to other cities for hunts and finding the best/fastest way to get the new favor in the city.
I think I just found the worst way though. I did this:
Quit the old favor
Completed 3 cases in old city
Traveled to Shainghai
Had to do 4 cases to get the next favor.
Did I happen to do it the worst possible way?
What’s the best way ya’ll (2nd person Plural) have found?

I like to have just completed a favor in my old city before I travel (since credit for all cases toward a favor seems to vanish when you leave and return, you may as well cash in all that credit before leaving). Then, in the new city, I normally only have to do 3 cases to get my first favor there.
I've never been sure if quitting or walking out on a favor in Delhi, for instance (not my home) will mean I need to do 4 for the next favor in my next new city or that I need to do 4 on my next trip to Delhi. sounds like your experience suggests the former.

Glad you posted this. It happened to me too. Plus, I can't remember if when I returned, if I had to do less work to get the next favor. I think a favor was just 'flushed.'

It's not quite the worst way. I left a city after doing a case without checking for a favour, and then in the next city I had to do 6 cases to get a favour. :(

I have come to notice if you have a favor waiting in your current city.Solve it before traveling as you will need all possible cases when traveling.Otherwise it is like quitting a favor.It will require 4 cases to get a new favor in the new city you traveled to.Also the harder the cases you do a favor may appear after 2 cases even.Just don't quit a favor before leaving as yes it will definitely take 4 cases until the next favor.

Right Sheerluck, when you leave a cuty for favor is gone. The townies just don't remember like they used to.
Good luck getting past Mehome :P :)
3 cases a day won't do it :D
Traveled again this tim ecompleting the old city favor and one time it took 4 cases and the other it took 3.
