I have couple questions about "Pugilism."
Question #1:
It takes 14 skill points to buy "Pugilism". Is is a good skill to have? It looks good, cuz it increases my chance of suceeding when I use Interrogation and intimidation.

Question #2:
It says I can only buy this skill from 'fraction bosses'. What is that? Who is the fraction boss? Does that mean I cannot buy this skill directly from the skill list I used to buy my other skills?

Here's the answers, but you can't use most of the information right now since you're in New York and not subscribed, and therefore can't get the skill yet.

1. From what I know about the skill it seems like it would be a good skill to have, but I can't say how useful the skill is from personal experience since I don't have that particular skill.

2. The boss is the head of the faction in question (the Green Hand in this case). Pugilism is a skill that, as you said, cannot be bought directly from the skill list used to buy your other skills, it can only be bought through the Green Hand. To do this you must have at least as many skill points as the skill costs and have a standing of +25 or higher in the faction. In your case it also means you have to subscribe since the Green Hand standing can only be changed in Delhi and in London, and only subscribers can travel.

I have it, but it is really hard to say how helpful it is. I play with the best tough clothes on, and have all skills. I do think it boosts toughness.

MIND, I think what is much better. Is not to focus on the faction skills yet. But buy smart and tough skills. Get your advanced interrogration and intimidation + some good tough clothes. Particularly cosa Nostra sells some good stuff: tommy gun, police badge and zoot suit. All this stuff will make you quite comfortable to play on Rediculously Hard.

Thanks for all the information. Very useful. I do have another question... my standing with Cosa Nostra is bad, but my standing with The Die something brotherhood (the one inside the church) is good, is there a way to reverse that FAST? Cuz the stuff the Die something Brotherhood sells is not too good. And I can't talk to the Cosa Nostra since there's always this big man standing in front of me and tells me to leave. Thanks.

There isn't really a way to reverse those standings fast. If you stop doing the little jobs for the Brotherhood, your standings with them will automatically drop every day until they reach 10 - from then on the only way to get them to go down further is by quitting all cases that have cutscenes where your standings with Cosa won't go up :)

You can reverse faction standing faster if you subscribe and join an agency.

And pugilism works automatically when you use your tough interviewing skills, either Intimidation or Interrogation, adding ten percent to your chances of success. So while not a skill for a new player to focus on getting, it's nice to have it in the bag later on, especially if you play tough.
