Is "pick pocketing" a good skill to have? I don't know whether I should spend 10 skill points to get it rather than getting other skills that might be more useful for me. What do you think?

The skill seems to be more of a convienance than anything, so I wouldn't worry about pick pocketing until you get at least most of the evidence and interviewing skills.

Since your age is 11 days, I'd recommend that you get the skill later and spend the skill points on something that can be used in most cases or every case, not just when the client is guilty.
