Which one?

I've built up my skills points to 13 I feel like I can buy anything but I don't know what's the best thing to buy . . . any suggestions on what you use the most . . .

If you havent got it already research would be my 1st choice.... this allows you to autmoatically eliminate 1 person with a false/no alibi...

Definately Research.
Also as your Smart and Charming, you need to concentrate on the smart and charming skills.
It is pointless to but a tough skill such as interrogation.

Eventually, having all the skills can be helpful. But I agree that choosing either charming or tough skills and gear to focus on in the beginning is helpful, and then smarts skills to help with evidence. Research is also great, but if you don't have enough Sweet Talking to get all your suspects first, it won't solve the case for you. So my advice is to build up your Sweet Talking and Rule Bending as high as you can before you get Research. (for tough people, read Interrogation and Intimidation).
