Has anyone heard of this bank? I have received recent mail from them and although I believe this to be a scam..I must say they are getting pretty good/funny now.

I get email with the same name and the same (or maybe very similar) phone and fax numbers. I have no idea how legitimate they run things though. Awhile back, I looked at the company history, and here's what little I found out before I looked elsewhere for an idea for a fictional company: they were at the time (late 2000) on a list of banking associations and banks in seven euro-states being investigated for possibly operating national cartels for exchanging eurozone currency notes; from what I saw I think the main office is located in Amsterdam.

I can confirm that what I know to be the SNS bank, is a trustworthy bank. Also the telephone number indicates it is the same bank. As +31 pre-fix is the netherlands.

However, a bank that has to send strangers email, I would not take as my bank.

Frankly, each time you think "potential scam"...then just don't go there.

This is the SNS bank I know: (site is in dutch)
