Doesn't really matter what contacts you get. They are all useful in equal measure.
As far as skills go, you'll definitely want advanced thread, hair, footprint and handwriting analysis. Research is also good to have as it always eliminates a suspect. And the interview skills ofc and preferably at advanced level.
Honorable mentions are pugilism, lock picking and judge of character (if you have maxed both sets of interview skills).
