I was just wondering if it really should be possible for a detective to be over 200 days old, with almost 200,000exp. and not have a second contact. Akano has left us for awhile out of frustration. I am a mess. Is there any chance that there is some mistake? I know that the second contact can be difficult to get, but really, this is ridiculous. I am looking for hope, can anyone offer it to me, please?

Sila,
From what I have seen most people have their 2nd contact by 50,000 exp.points if they are not quitting cases due to holding out for a certain contact(which took me until 67,000 points)or quitting because of weak interview skills for the favor case level.I know of someone who had both contacts the first week they were playing as they didn't quit any favor cases(less than 15,000 exp. points)So actually don't feel overwhelmed as you should get your 2nd contact fairly easy if you don't quit alot of favor cases.

*is not sure how she didn't see these posts yesterday*

Thank you Ben, I love you! :) You are always striving to make this a better place.

Sila, from what I have seen this is a very rare occurance so don't fret too much. :) Just keep building your skills up, as Akano and Holly have suggested, and the realy hard and really really hard cases will come with them. :)

Just an idea, but is there a way to link it to the favor levels at all, Ben? The incred. hard cases can become impossible to solve without that PE contact if there are 3 PE's from the same place! And since we don't control our favor levels, once you hit that level without a PE contact, it can be come a vicious cycle! Just a thought. Thanks again for giving us such a great place to hang out. :)

I can totally imagine how this can upset someone, or even make them leave the game as happened here. I used to have 2 PE contacts (which was possible when I started), ah those days. Then Ben took one away by changing the game, it took me days to recover from the disappointment. It still was a great move on Ben's part though. But a PE contact makes life in Sleuth so much better.

I read down to cfmdec, and didn't finish reading all messages, so what I share may already be covered, anyway, here is how I obtained two contacts needed. When I started "Lone Wolf Detective Agency", we needed another shoe maker, so I created another character for me, Agent_007, and since I only needed the shoe maker, I never solved favors for the BANKER, TAILOR, OR BARBER, but I done all the rest. However, it was during a treasure hunt, that I was doing a favor for the shoe maker, to win a key, that I received the shoe maker contact for Agent_007. Presently, my spouse and I needed a banker for our agency, OMEGA, so he subscribed his character, TEXAN, at which time he asked me to get him the banker. Again, I only solved the banker favors, and excluded the other three majors, and included the other contacts in general, such as: music teacher, butcher, waiter, priest, fortune teller, and bar tendor. These general contacts don't hinder or keep you from getting the major contact needed. However, it was during a treasure hunt, while doing a favor for the banker I solved and won the key, and got the banker contact for Texan. I'm not sure if it helps speed up the process in getting one of the major contacts by it being connected to a favor in a hunt or not, but I do know in both instances I got the contacts desired. I did get discouraged a couple of times and asked Ben, at which time he advised for me to keep doing what I was doing and I'd eventually get it, and I did. Agent's points were over 60,000, and Texan's wasn't alot when he got his second one. Again, I don't know if it matters or not in doing the favors for the shoe maker by solving cases, or doing a favor in a treasure hunt. Hope this helps.

Correction on the last part of my message above:

Again, I don't know if it matters or not, in whether you get the contact you need, by doing favors in general while solving cases, or during a treasure hunt.

It doesn't matter. Only thing that doing it during treasure hunts got me was stressed out

Yipee........ finally have my second contact. He arrived yesterday at 152k. Coincidence? I think not. So *tips hat* thanks to cfmdec for raising this issue, to everyone who contributed and Ben for making the change.

Hmmm...

*Realises tipping a feathered pillbox hat just makes her look silly. Bobs a dainty curtsy instead.*
