I finally won my pet. Can anyone give me some advice on how to look after them.

If anyone has the time or inclination, they might want to take a quick look at Kolya. He turned sepia yesterday even though he is still a puppy and his stats are just T2, S5, C5. ... nowhere near maxed out. I also received the message that goes something like "For the time being Kolya had learned all that he could". I had always thought that you would only receive this message when your pet has maxed out.

The night before this happened I had bought a charm booster from Dorian - so I'm wondering if this is connected.

Is this likely to be a glitch? I'm concerned that the little mite will be stuck in sepia-land, trapped as a puppy forever, never able to reach his full potential.

If anyone has known this happen to another pet - and if it recovered or not - please let me know. Thanks : )

Looking for some advice with my 45 day old parrot.

She is currently at 7 for smarts and 2 for charm, and has been for some time. No sign of her gaining more in smarts (as I'd hoped) and no sign of her becoming golden/sepia.

Admittedly I've not been playing as many cases as usual, but even when I was completing my full daily quota plus some from my alt, progress became slow.

I had thought that pets became fully grown at around 31 days, but that hasn't happened here. Is she destined to be a baby forever. Any advice welcome.

Also ... I've been doing all the *correct* things, such as only using smarts skills (PE analysis, research, surveillance), grooming for smartness, using boosters when appropriate.

Pasha, your parrot has gained all the smarts a baby parrot can get (or any pet for that matter). Now you can stop pumping up her smart skills and start working on her charm skills. She needs only one more charm point to grow up. The more points she gets, the sooner she'll turn golden. :)

My parrot has a +9 bonus in smart. So there's always room for improvement. I don't really mind. Surveillance now works most of the time for me.

Does anyone know if there are or will be more opportunity for the pets to gain more stats, once it says they've "learned all it can for now"? Is that a hint there's more to come, or just how it's worded?

In total your pet will have a +16 bonus, divided over tough, smart and charm.

I keep grooming my dog as tough, do i need to now switch to charm? If i switch will she lose her tough stats.
