I finally won my pet. Can anyone give me some advice on how to look after them.

Firstly Congrats Dreamcatcher!!!!
Here is an excerpt from our GRD Agency website:

Things to do for your pet....
CHECK-UPS: Read the daily status of your pet
FEED: Pay the waiter
GROOM: Pay the barber when needed
TRAIN: By trading more brass rings
EXERCISE: By solving cases as they gain experience.
HEALTHCARE: Whey they get sick use brass rings or cash

Things your pet will do for you...
-Each pet has their own personality traits, so as they grow and see you in action so will their attributes.
-Depending on their attributes, they can help get people to reveal their alibis others to charm the townies, while at the same time increasing your own stats.

I'm trying to steer my pet towards being ultra charming. At the barbers I only ever groom him for charm. Yet he is acquiring smart skills at the same rate. I'm concerned that they might overtake the charm. Anyone know why this is happening and what (if anything) I can do about it?

Don't use judge of character but always use the charm interview skills regardless. If possible don't use smart skills such as surveillance and if even more possible don't use smart gear to check the crime scene.

Using Research also has to do with the smart skill.

If anyone has the time or inclination, they might want to take a quick look at Kolya. He turned sepia yesterday even though he is still a puppy and his stats are just T2, S5, C5. ... nowhere near maxed out. I also received the message that goes something like "For the time being Kolya had learned all that he could". I had always thought that you would only receive this message when your pet has maxed out.

The night before this happened I had bought a charm booster from Dorian - so I'm wondering if this is connected.

Is this likely to be a glitch? I'm concerned that the little mite will be stuck in sepia-land, trapped as a puppy forever, never able to reach his full potential.

If anyone has known this happen to another pet - and if it recovered or not - please let me know. Thanks : )
