The Resistance: Return to Paranoia

Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)
The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.
I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.
A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.
Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)
Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

In this game, Yeti claims to be a spy by Page 2 of the thread:

He says he must be a spy because he is sure Molly is a spy and they are both selfish, so he must be one also.
There's no Molly in game and no banter either.

And (after driving home from work and sitting down at my home computer) don't <3 me you big hairy Yeti. If you *are* a spy, I don't want your spy cooties rubbing off on me.
And, yes, Cathy, that's a good point, and I have to admit I was remembering it a little differently.
And Lou, it's nice to meet you. I love your avatar but it makes me kind of a paranoid. Having just the upper portion of the face and those steely eyes really gives a cool effect. :)

Sorry Yeti you are correct in you supossition as was Cathy, I'd forgotten that there are the 2 different votes, my apologies, it's been awhile since I've done this, isn't there some rule that if we reject 3 teams something happens. And I would have to call this a good beginning, everyone else feel free to chime in anytime. The obstructionist train has already departed, and is picking up speed, heading down the track towards crazy town by the most circuitous of routes. What joy.

Thank you Sindy, it was chosen that was specifically, to prevent the instant recognition factor as he's very famous.

The Resistance loses if we reject 5 proposals, but we don't have to worry about that now.
Maybe it is not too late Lou, and you can still change your vote, especially since you forgot how the game was supposed to be played :)

I can now reveal to everyone that I am not a spy, but in fact a member of the resistance who went under cover to learn more about those who would seek to destroy our movement. Consequently I will of course be voting SUCCESS in this mission, assuming it goes ahead, which is another matter to address further on.
For someone who claims to not be accusing anyone of being a spy you sure seemed to be going after me with a vengeance, Cathy. You fixated on the one prior game where I claimed to be a spy at the start of the game, which turned out to be a true claim. You had nothing to say about the game where I claimed to be a spy but was in fact resistance until Sindy pointed it out to you, at which point you dismissed it for the most trivial of reasons. The way you've latched on so fiercely to the idea of me being a spy, with nothing to base that latch on, is awfully suspicious. You're my spy suspect #1 right now, and it is precisely for this kind of information that I'll go undercover as a resistance member.
Bringing the topic neatly round to whether Devi should use NO CONFIDENCE. On the one hand, Cathy tried her best to get this mission shut down, which suggests it could be a solid team. On the other hand, at least one spy voted this team through. On balance I think it'd probably be safest to use the power now to gather more information about everyone, but I respect Devi that isn't the most cautious of players.
