Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Yeah, I'm not playing that game with you, Yeti. The fact that you're accusing me of being a spy says a lot about your allegiance. But I'm not interested in playing the accusation game, that's not what I came here to do. I am only interested in winning a victory for my team, and in cold, hard facts.

Devi will not be using NO CONFIDENCE.

The mission is now ready to proceed. Devi, Yeti, and Bela must PM me whether they vote to SUCCEED or whether they vote to SABOTAGE the mission.

**Resistance members must vote SUCCEED, while Spies may choose to vote either SUCCEED or SABOTAGE.**

Also, I'm bringing back an old rule: Players have 24 hours from the timestamp of the prompting post to get their votes in (YES/NO or SUCCEED/SABOTAGE) or I'll flip a coin and you live with the consequences.

Interesting. I would really like to hear from Bela and Autumn, who haven't said a word yet :) so why did you choose to vote yes on this mission?

Ah I see. So when you suspect me of being a spy it's not an accusation, merely "reasonable cold hard fact" but when I suspect you of being a spy it totally is? No. It'll be clearly stated if I accuse you. Right now you're just the most suspicious person here as your cold hard reasonable facts aren't nearly as cold, hard, nor reasonable as you think they are - despite the fact that multiple people pointed this out to you.

The facts are what happens in-game, and what people say. Those are the cold, hard facts. Basically, collecting intel on how the game is played is what interests me, because I'm trying to figure out what's going on. I'm not really interested in engaging in tirades, though. Sorry.

That's very noble of you. Though I am left to wonder why tirades were fine when you were launching them at me earlier. Do you just want to avoid incriminating yourself further?

The rule about the 24 hours is kinda hard hearted but a little bit of fair, considering.

Believe me if you had played with a certain detective it would not seem hard hearted at all. What's hard hearted is to keep 8 - 10 people waiting on your sorry ass for days. (Not *your* sorry ass Jintan. This other detective's sorry ass.)

And Cathy, I voted yes because you always vote yes on the first mission. At least you do if you're resistance. And Bela *probably* (I stress probably because only Bela can answer for sure) cord us because she's on the team. regardless of whether you're resistance or spy you want to be on the team. Resistance members because they know they are resistance which lowers the number of possible spies. And spies want to be on so they can either sabotage or misdirect. Again, this is only my interpretation of Bela's actions.

I have to agree with yeti. You seem to have a bit of a double standard when it comes to "tirades" and a somewhat fluid interpretation of "cold, hard facts."

Let me guess... Now I'm a spy?

I don't know if you're a spy, Autumn.

My definition of cold, hard facts isn't fluid. Cold, hard facts are whatever is posted on the board.

Example:

Yeti said he was a spy at the beginning of the game. Cold, hard fact.

Autumn said, in her last post, "I have to agree with Yeti". Cold, hard fact.

Also, why do you think that the resistance must always vote "yes" on the first proposed mission? What I've read about the game when I was brushing up on it actually advises to shoot down the first mission just to see how the voting goes.

And I'm sure you understand why I'm thinking out my votes, as you have also done in the past.

From Big Lucy's Birthday Bash:

"I'm sorry Announcer. But I want to make sure that my votes are well thought-out. I retract my approval of this team." - Autumn

Cold, hard fact.
