Hi all. Our poor old server had a bad day. It was pretty slow yesteday, and may have even corrupted a few cases.
I finally had to put it out of it's misery this evening, and launched a brand-spankin new one.
I don't think any data was lost, but please let me know here if you think you were penalized somehow.
I've gone ahead and granted all current subscribers an extra day on their subscriptions.
The only bug that I know of right now is that bar chat isn't working. I'll get to that in the next couple days.

The only issue I've noticed is that I can't finish cases stored in the case files before the server replacement. The game kicks to the login screen every time I try to visit a Cairo townie. New cases seem to be working fine.
If the cases are corrupted is there any way I can get those purged?

I just noticed that the server time is actually several hours ahead of what it should be. I think anything time-related like message board timestamps, the City News events, the Shanghai racetrack, etc. might be off as a result.

Oh that's interesting, City Hall is currently showing GMT time. Or proper time, as we call it in England.

I have a case open currently from before the server crash, and am also enjoying not being able to visit townies.

If we're going to change the server time I vote for Eastern Standard Time ( Australia ). It might as well be as inconvenient for as many people as possible :)

Neglected to pay attention to the new server time and let a whole day of cases slip away (11 of them anyway). Oops.
"Solved" the case file problem by moving the agency to another city.

Ok, here's an update:
I hereby banish the concept of timezones from Sleuth. While we're at it, might as well get rid of daylight savings time and leap year too. So we enjoy February now because you're only getting 28 days of it this year.
I'm still trying to figure out the extent of the bugged case files, I'll try to get those cleared out soon. I just don't want to clear out everything if

oops, darn return key.
... if not all case files are beyond recovery.
Also, I tacked on another day to everybody's subscriptions.
Hang in there.

I'm having a hard time identifying all the bugged case files. Does anybody strongly object to me just clearing out all agency and apartment files?
