The New York Police Commissioner has just approved a daring, top secret mission to infiltrate the ranks of La Cosa Nostra and target none other than the fearsome Dona Isabella Santanelli herself. If all goes well, he can collect enough evidence against the Dona to put her away for life and severely cripple the lucrative crime operation.

The only catch? La Cosa Nostra has access to the NYPD’s detective base (no one knows how) and can identify any of their detectives on sight. Because of this, the Police Commissioner has to recruit from some lesser known faces- the private detectives and civilians walking the streets of New York.

Will the Police Commissioner be able to assemble his task force and infiltrate La Cosa Nostra without spy interference from LCN? Or is the mission doomed to fail, and the price fatally steep for all involved? Find out in this game of The Resistance!

Yeti, as the two spies know each other, what is the point of pretending to be a spy if you're not?
How does that help resistance players?

Exactly something a spy would say ;)

How does it help my fellow Resistors to say I am a Resistor at the start of the game? Everyone, spy or not, will claim to be Resistance, which is dull. However by claiming I am a spy, the spies will know I am not actually one of their number, and how they react to me will potentially give tells away to who they are. For example, I used the same strategy in the last game, and consequently Riza strongly suspected Molly was a spy.

And yes LED, you still need to send your vote privately to Molly. Nothing you say in the thread is necessarily the truth, whereas your vote via PM with Molly is.

Mission 2:
Lady Emerald Devon, Riza Hawkeye and DevilishWings sat in the nondescript black Plymmouth silently, the air tense between them. Their eyes were fixed on the home of Antonio del Rosaro, a stately mission-style home in the hills.
“Who knew the criminal element had such nice, normal looking houses?” DevilishWings mused. She was sure they were destined for a flashy penthouse.
“I rather think the plan should go as follows. DevilishWings, we’ll need the car running and ready at a moments notice. Please stay here and be ready to speed. Riza, you and I will creep in surreptitiously and snatch the amulet. I’ve heard he has several guard dogs, so I’ve brought cuts of steak laced with a sedative. It won’t kill them, just knock them out.”
Riza and Lady Emerald moved from the vehicle, Lady Emerald brandishing cuts of juicy rib-eye. Before the dogs could have time to react, she darted forward and flung them over the fence. Several black shapes materialized in the darkness and began to wolf the cuts down hungrily, before their movements became markedly more sluggish.
“To the door!” she whispered, and smoothly Riza knelt down before the mahogany front doors and picked the lock with ease. It swung open silently to a foyer as black as ink. They slipped inside and bore to the right, where the Police Commissioner had told them the sitting room featuring the amulet was.
“There it is.” Lady Em said, spying the mantle and they converged eagerly but saw…nothing.
“Looking for something?” a growl issued from the darkness and the lights came on suddenly. As they blinked, they saw Antonio del Rosaro cradling the amulet in his large paw. A set-up!
“A little birdie told me I’d have some visitors tonight. And now, I’ll have to go through the trouble of cleaning this new rug.” He raised a gun at them and fired a shot…where the two women had been standing previously. Riza yanked Lady Emerald by the arm and ran full-tilt towards the door, shots following. Devilish Wings heard the ...

M. LACRIMOSA will be the next leader.

Mission 3:

"I'm very disappointed." The Police Commissioner barked. "There will be a full investigation on how our secret was divulged. In the meantime, another mission, and we need a lot of eyes for this one. The Dona and her crew are scheduled to make a warehouse trade for some very illegal substances that they will then sell on the streets. I need 4 operatives to head down there and document this. Don’t try to interfere- I’ll need photographs from two angles and extensive reports on what you saw and who was involved. You!” He pointed at Marc. “You look like you can’t possibly fudge this up. Choose a team of 4 operatives.”

Marc, the ability granted in this round is:

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY- Whoever receives this can take an unused plot card from another player, can be used at any time.
Please distribute to another player or indicate that you’ll be keeping this for yourself. Please propose a team of 4 operatives. Once you do so, all players can PM me their YES/ NO votes.

I think the chances are, Riza sabotaged that mission. Since everyone but me voted through the first mission, and literally everyone voted through the second, I think there's good odds there was a spy on that first mission, and since I know it can not have been LED, Riza is the prime suspect. However, without anything concrete Devi can not be ruled out.

Marc, as this team requires four people if a single Resistance member is left out a spy will be on board. Consequently if you propose a team without both LED and I on it, I'll have to vote against the proposal.

Yeti, you said you were a spy when we first started and then later stated you were resistance. Before I put my team together, why should I trust you on my team?

Because assuming you're not a spy, without me on your team it's got a 100% chance of sabotage if voted through.

As I said before, I posed as a spy in public to try and get a reaction from the people who know for certain that I am not a spy; the spies themselves. It'd be rather odd for a spy to actually declare themselves as such at the start of the game wouldn't it?

Very well. I'll trust you. My team will consist of LED, Sal, Yeti, and myself. Yeti I'm entrusting you with the TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
