Our Friend YetiFace has been hard at work again improving Sleuth.

He's moved the icon toolbar around on the map page. More importantly, townie locations relevant to solving cases are now linked to each other with their own toolbar. So you shouldn't have to jump back to the map screen as often.

Yeti's working on a few other similar improvements that should help take a lot of the tedium out of Sleuth, and reduce the opportunities to make silly mistakes while you navigate.

Tell us what you think!

*Thank you, Yeti!* :D

Not jumping back to the map screen each time has saved me a lot of clicks, and that's really good. :)
I did notice something, though - each time I try to pay the Fortune Teller (in NY and Shanghai, so I'm assuming this is happening in all cities), I get logged out, and am back to the login page.

Not complaining, it may just be some minor bug. :)

I'd say it's definitely a minor bug, as always I'm very sorry it's managed to slip through the net - it's going to be pain solving cases without being able to get your fortune told. I've identified where the problem is and we'll have it fixed later today.

The letters in the suspects' list on the right are enormous which doesn't look very pretty, but what worries me more is that the whole thing has somehow become incompatible with the Automated Sleuth Helper. The suspects' list is now at the very top of the screen on the right, overlapping the toolbar, which makes the helper unusable :(. I'm afraid that will affect many players who, like me, use the helper.

I have the same problem as Ebony and Tyrion, and you can't access the Fortune Teller through the toolbar anymore because the suspects' list overlaps it.

Ive tested it Tyrion, and you are correct. There is only one suspect that shows up at the very top of the page of Sleuth Helper. No way to solve this case or look at mor suspects without it going back to the side of the screen.

My motto-if its not broke, dont fix.

A lot of players will not be happy about this.

FYm Tyrion-as the names list grows it also overlaps all of the Tabs at the top of the page (Agency HQ, etc), so be careful if you work the case!

Silly me, I uninstalled and reinstalled the helper.....always blame technology first that's my motto. I agree with Jas if it ain't broke don't fix it. Of course it is broke now so please fix it.

I am experiencing these two issues as well. Improvements are great and I'm glad Yeti Face is investing his time on them, but I think they should take into consideration their effect on the Sleuth Helper, which (I believe) is a key element of the experience of many Sleuth Noir players.

I must say that I agree with the motto. I'm always for adding new content instead of changing what's been working perfectly for more than a decade. I aprecciate Yeti's effort all the same, and I'm sure he will find a way around the problem.

You can't consult the Fortune Teller for $20 anymore without being sent back to the login page (courtesy of Ebony on the Sleuth Talk thread). Could this be a side effect of the recent changes?
