See if there is interest for this.
1. Each day I will post 10 questions, at random times of the day.
2. Each Quiz runs exactly 24 hours.
3. The first person that has all 10 questions right, wins. Or if no one has all questions right, the best one wins.
4. You can only post answers ONCE for the same quiz.
5. No cash involved. Just glory. :)

OK ... after being utterly humiliated in the chemistry quiz (though I didn't really expect much else), try this one:
Give the word that matches the definition; all answers begin with the letter 'A':
1) n. The mass which advertisers seek to reach in commercial advertising.
2) adj. With hand on hip and elbow out.
3) n. A covering to shelter from the sun or weather
4) v.t. To shorten: to epitomise: to curtail.
5) adj. Remote from apprehension: difficult to understand.
6) n. Fear of heights.
7) adj. Easy to speak to: courteous, esp. toward inferiors: pleasant: friendly.
8) interj. Denoting regret.
9) adv. & adj. On fresh or wet plaster: in the fresh or cool air.
10) v.i. To convery an indirect reference in passing: to refer without explicit mention.

Marcus: 2/10. Mackenzie: 4/10.
However, you both probably deserve an extra point because (and I thought this might happen) the words you gave for (7) are very close in their definition, but not exactly the same, to the word I'm looking for.
OK - Correct so far are 2) Akimbo 3) Awning 6) Acrophobia 7) Affable 9) Alfresco and 10) Allude
Any takers on the others?

OK ... I'm going to embarass myself here, as my experience of comics only reaches as far as the Tintin collection I had when I was a child:
1) Stretchgirl from The Incredibles?
2) No idea.
3) No idea.
4) Judge Dredd! Ha! I think I got one!
5) Nope ... dunno.
6) Oh dear.
7) Sorry!
8) He's a superhero : o )
9) Captain America.
10) He is ... Ice Man!
How did I do?

I'll give you half a mark for no (4). The rest are all wrong. Judge Dredd isn't a superhero from this genre.

So it is not Robocop either? I really tried, but I don't know any of this stuff.
