Is anyone else noticing a ridiculous amount of clams lately? I just had three PE townies clam on the first question and three suspects clam as well. I've been noticing this for the last four or five days.
Run of bad luck or has this been happening to others?

Oh dear, now I feel a little embarrassed for mentioning my amateurish woes when the experts are battling out Almost Impossible cases, which are indeed in the extremely distant future for me. And thanks for the advice & encouragement Breitkat, it's wonderful as always :)

Now that I do attempt almost impossible cases, I will report the problem of excessive clamming. I mean, I don't know what it's supposed to be like, but I imagine it's rather difficult without an agency to fall back on.
There's not a single suspect or townie who doesn't clam up on the first question. Not one. And from the pattern of things, people answer a maximum of 3 questions after unclamming. So if you happen to use up 2 questions on alibi and motives, and you have 6-7 bad alibis....

Yep, that's the joy of AI cases! You need to rely on reducing the number of suspects with the physical evidence as much as you can.
Hint: Don't forget that most of your PE belongs to the people with real alibis and sometimes it's possible to figure out who...
