It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.

Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.

Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...

The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Understood, Biggie.

Serges, back up your truck. First off, no one said you are not Resistance if you vote 'no' to this. This is a plea for Resistance to rally, either push this mission through and try to learn something or raise their voices and give us a better, usable option.

Now I've never been more sure you're a spy. In the last game you laid out thoughts in a precise manner, and always, always tried to push the Resistance forward. In this game you are trying to poke sticks through the spokes of our wheels, coming up with half-formulated plans of action that include a team of 4 unknowns and now casting suspicion against us for these suggestions....which would be a retarded play because if the three of us established ourselves as powerhouse Resistance players when we were really spies we wouldn't be boosting ourselves onto the team every proposal...
we'd be trying to pull out a team of wild-cards and unknowns,

just like you're doing.

That is a good point smallz.

The thing is, EVERYONE is wild cards and unknowns at this point. There's been one successful mission, which means nothing. I was on a successful mission last game and I was a spy.

Judging by the way the spies voted, there IS a spy on your core team. That's why I don't trust it. I don't know who it is, but its someone and that's why I continue to say no to it. I unfortunately don't know who I would feel better about.

I can't figure out who I'd want on a damn team. Sigh...I think I'm talking myself out of my own strategy lol. We do seem to be kind of stalled.

OK, you know what, I'm fed up. Tired of being asked what I'd do, then accused because it isn't what YOU'd do. Tired of have the three power brokers in this game throw me under the bus at every turn. So, believe what you will. It's been 4 days of this, and there isn't shred ONE of indisputable evidence against me, mostly because WE'RE ONLY IN MISSION 2.

I'm Resistance.
I'm a spy.
Pick whichever statement you want to believe and roll with it.

Alright. I can see we all, myself included are getting worked up, and its probably because we are stalled. So, we need to come up with a viable solution- or something close.

Looking at the hard statistics, not necessarily who voted, but the votes in general...the mission team that was a success (Molly, Adam, nic) the votes were 7-3 in favor.
The proposed mission team of Vulkie, Adam, Molly and nic was rejected 6-4, with most of the 4 being the actual team members voting to push it through. That means logistically, resistance AND spies voted against that mission. Resistance, because of doubt in team, Spies because of...why?

Proposed mission of Jason, Adam, Molly and nic was nearly unanimously approved by a vote of 9-1. This is where current suspicions herald from.

Obviously, Adam is up next and his idea of swapping for biggie might definitely be a viable solution.

However, what if we embraced the element of the wild card and swapped one or two of this core team for (at this stage) "proven resistance"- IE Serges and/or Andi, Adam Carter, or Vulkie (by possible association.)

Maybe if we rattle up the formula of the team we've been pushing, we might find a new combination that works for everyone.

Our other option is to pull in a player that hasn't been up on the block yet. Kagome, Andrew Corelli, Marc, etc.

I am willing to sit out of a mission, although as a Resistance team member it makes me hedgy. But we are only on the second mission, and if thats what it takes to shed some light, I'm willing to do so.

Thoughts?

Why only one player who hasn't been on the block? Why not a whole team of them?

Me
Andrew
Kagome
Marc

These four are as likely to be spies/not spies as the four who are under suspicion, or anyone else for that matter. I'd like to see some of their ideas as well since they've been so quiet in general (except Kagome)

True, Biggie. In a perfect world I'd like to see someone with a card ability on that team, if only in the hope that if all else failed we could gain some knowledge on someone on the team- which is why I wanted one of the Cores (ha...I feel like this is the Hunger Games...what are those District 2 people called? #nerdout....Careers! Thats it) to stay, particularly one with an ability.

What if in a hypothetical team we kept either nic OR Adam, but not both?

And of course, after this voted mission this all falls to Adam to make his final decision, but at least I know when I pick a team the more input I can weight helps me.
