It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.
Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.
Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.
The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...
The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

There are too many players for too few spots. I am putting together a waiting list for Resistance, as per nic's suggestion. I have added the names of everyone who's not playing in this game, prioritized by request order. The disputed spots have been resolved by Andi's coin. The ruling is final, and the game begins now.
There are ten players in this game: FOUR spies, and SIX resistance operatives.
The mission details are as follows:
Mission 1: Three Team Members
Mission 2: Four Team Members
Mission 3: Four Team Members
Mission 4: Five Team Members**
Mission 5: Five Team Members
** This mission requires TWO sabotage votes for the mission to fail.
The player order is:
Serges
Molly Maltese
Adam Carter
Vulkie3
Kagome_70
Andrew Corelli
Andiyana
Jason Arends

MISSION 1: The Prince's Peacock
The Prince's Royal Peacock strides into view of the guests, staring in with a look of disdain from the luscious garden outside at the people who are pointing and gawking at his multicolored feathers. Suddenly, he fluffs his feathers up, swings his head from left to right in alarm, and takes off at a dead run straight into the crowd just as something bright ricochets off the doorframe right beside him. The guests scream and scatter as he barrels through.
The Prince's closest advisor hurries over with a harried expression on his face and grabs Serges by the arm. "You! Grab some other operatives and catch that bird!" he hisses in Serges' ear. "If anything happens to him..."
The Prince gazes down imperiously from the balcony above the commotion, surveying Serges and the other operatives he has chosen. He slowly rubs his chin.
Serges is the leader for Mission 1.
Mission 1 will consist of THREE team members.
The first team leader has been given three advantages to distribute to whomever he sees fit. They are:
- ESTABLISH CONFIDENCE: The leader's identity will be revealed to the player of his/her choice via PM from the game master.
- NO CONFIDENCE: Receiver of this card can veto a successful vote on a mission proposal, causing it to fail and forcing leadership to change.
- OVERHEARD CONVERSATION: Owner of this card learns the allegiance of either the player above/below him/her on the player list via PM from the game master.
Since Serges received the ESTABLISH CONFIDENCE card, his allegiance will be revealed to a player of his choosing via PM from me.
He can then distribute OVERHEARD CONVERSATION and NO CONFIDENCE to other team members or keep one for himself.
Serges, please assign these abilities whenever you're ready.

Just got back from a full day out, sorry if I was holding anything up.
Looks like this game is shaping up to start the way the last game did, with me being first leader and getting similar powers. To avoid the speculation involved with 2 people knowing everything that almost sunk us last game, I think I'm going to change my strategy up slightly and spread the intel around a little.
I'll choose to ESTABLISH CONFIDENCE with Andiyana, to get her involved in her first game. I'll give OVERHEARD CONVERSATION to Vulkie, for the same reason. Lastly, NO CONFIDENCE is a bad card to fall into spy hands (as we learned last game), so I'll keep it for myself. I'll hold my team proposal until Andi knows I'm Resistance for sure and Vulkie decides who to overhear.

Serges has chosen to keep NO CONFIDENCE for himself.
Serges has chosen to give his ESTABLISH CONFIDENCE ability to Andiyana. Andiyana will receive a PM from me revealing the allegiance of Serges.
Serges has chosen to give his OVERHEARD CONVERSATION ability to Vulkie. Vulkie, please post here which player you would like to use this ability on.
Andiyana and Vulkie are both free to post what has been revealed to them after they receive the information.
At that point Serges can make his proposal for Mission 1, Team 1.

A little bird in my ear whispered that Mr. Adam Carter belongs to the Resistance. So we know he's a safe bet ^_0

That's weird that Serges would give those cards to two people who haven't played before so we have nothing to go on with how they play, etc.....
Interesting.

Not so much the one he gave to you. More like revealing his identity to Andi, instead of like biggie or me who generally don't trust him :-D
