My dearest darlings, some of you may remember the portentous event of November 2009, in which I myself undertook the hosting of Sleuths Annual Beauty Pageant. This delicious little event has been dormant since then, and I propose with the resurgence of the lovely faces of our veteran Sleuths that we bring back our Beauty Pageant with a veritable bang!
So my dears, this is a humble feeler post to see who would be interested in entering in another Beauty Pageant. The structure is going to be slightly different this year, so any entrants interested in reviving this timeless sleuth tradition may post here so I can proceed with the organization from here. Thank you, and good luck you lovely lovely people.

Alright, ladies and gents. I need at least 5 more contestants! Canvas the neighborhood!

Actually hold that thought.

Ladies and gentleman, the reason the contest hasn't happened right away is this. I want to depart from the traditional structure of the pageants. Now, in the interest of how much work the proposed idea would take, I will offer you fair people a choice.
1. Either we can proceed with the contest in its traditional structure, nominating whomever we feel like and voting between contestants as years before have preceded us.
Or-
2. We can make this contest a little more interactive, but that requires a little more work from our contestants rather than showing up with a pretty avatar. A quick overview of my plan:

14 contestants, 2 delegates from each principality: IE, Cairo, New York, Sleuthetania. If there is markedly more people interested in the contest, we can vote it down to the 14.

Mimicking a real pageant, I propose three challenges which I will go over in more detail in another thread I will sticky if there is interest. However, the three challenges will depart from the game a bit, such as

I- Evening Wear
Contestants will be dispatched to select pictures of pieces to create the essentials of a sleuth ensemble...

II. Introducing Your Detective
Audiences like to connect with their pageant contestants, so tell us a bit about yourself! (a bio challenge that will be voted on for creativity, execution, etc)

III. Interview
The judges will offer interview questions- the contestants will be judged on their answers.

Its a bigger undertaking than a regular old Sleuth pageant. I am negotiating a custom item as a prize.

I understand while fun, the amount of work behind this may seem daunting to some contestants so I would like honest feedback on what you would rather participate in. If a traditional sleuth pageant is what you want, a traditional pageant is what we'll have. :)

Post your thoughts!

I'm game for whatever, if you'd like to put us through the paces then lets do it. Either way this is a big undertaking not only by the contestants- depending on the options, but also by the judges and you Molly, So i thank you in advance for putting such time and effort into this.. :)
