Hey all

I think it would be great to get some fresh new blood (new players in). Thought I would open this thread to hopefully come up with some good ideas on how to bring in more new players

This place used to boom with many people. But now its a ghost town

I wouldn't necessarily say it's a ghost town. We do have a lot of new players and even some new agencies that are doing really well. But it isn't as packed as it used to be, that's for sure.

True. Very true. The RP board needs to start booming again.

I sometimes wonder if it's down to Shades of Mystery. It's as if there's only a finite number of people around who want to play an online detective game, and whereas they used to all come here, nowadays they're split between Noir and SoM.

I agree with you M. Lacrimosa. The role playing board (hopefully that's what you talking about) is one of my favorite parts of Noir and I hope more people start going there again.

I've been wanting to start another one but there aren't many people who have the time to write..

There aren't many people that actually want to play the game, slowly I see oldies coming back to play, which is nice.

I think some people just don't have time to play the game in general and also they could be getting on and at later times, but I still think that Noir is still popular. And M. Lacimosa if you decide to do another story I will check it out.

Hi, I'm s new player here and I have to agree with M. Lacrimosa. When I first discovered the site a couple days ago, I was torn between the two games. They both had something to offer but I eventually chose to subscribe to Noir. I may hop on the other every now and then but I think I'll be busy here for some time.

But having the two does pose a risk of splintering new players into one or the other. And if they choose both, then they may not subscribe to either because they would enough to do with just the free number of cases per day.

As for the reasons I chose Noir over Shades, I'll leave that to another thread. Don't want to hijack this one.

Btw, nice to meet you all and I'm enjoying my adventures here so far.

Welcome to your new Addiction, Leonardo. Oh, and thread hijackers are generally welcome. :)
