Think you know a lot about Sleuth Noir? Prove it. Answer my questions. Anyone is eligible to participate. If there are at least 10 interested participants, then this contest will go forward. You MUST post here to be considered eligible. Signups will be open until January 19, 2012. Questions will be posted at an undisclosed time on Jan 20, to keep things fair. A little brain exercise is always fun, no? :)

Format: 20 questions of varying difficulty, which will be posted below should there be sufficient interest. You must have the correct answers to all questions, numbered in order. Multiple-part answers must be separated by commas, and the answers must appear in the correct order to answer the question. All dates must appear as such: “April 15, 2012”.

Prizes: First Place: $500,000 Sleuth Dollars. Second Place: $250,000 Sleuth Dollars.
It is possible that there may be no winner at all. Only one entry per detective is allowed, and no second detectives are allowed. It is in your best interest not to share answers, as all answers can be found on this site.

Method of Submission: Please PM your answers to me, do *NOT* post on this thread. If any part of any answer is posted by anybody, the contest will be over and no one will win anything. The fastest correct submission will win first place, and the second fastest correct submission will win second place.

I am a grammar nerd, so please mind your spelling and capitalization. If there are any questions or concerns, PM me and I will reply as soon as possible. Most importantly, have fun! :D

Can't pinpoint it to be frank...might be from Cow & Chicken...but yes, it does come from some cartoons. Guess the words stuck to my brain for hearing them too many times in my life…hehe.

Question: When we send in the answers, do we also have to post the questions with them, or only the answers?

*drumroll* Now, the moment you have all been waiting for: the results!

I know my some of my questions were quite challenging, and I know how hard you all worked in finding these answers. Unfortunately, none of you got everything correct, which would mean that there is no first or second prize to be awarded. However, your hard work is why I have decided to change how I will award prizes. Yes, you read that right, there will be prizes.

ThePumpkinKing, Andrew Corelli, and Synesence: You three were among the first to send me your answers, and surprisingly, when I tallied up your totals (taking into consideration the percentage correct and order of submission), your scores all came out nearly the same! Therefore, even though I’m not obligated to do so by my own rules, I have decided to award each of you with unofficial second place and $100,000 Sleuth Dollars for being such dedicated trivia heads. Unofficial first place and $150,000 Sleuth Dollars goes to joyfuljones, for the most accurate responses and a fast finger. Congratulations! Please PM me to arrange receipt of your prizes.

I would also like to thank everyone else who attempted to answer the questions (you know who you are). Even several of you who did not get participate, PM’ed me to tell me that you were going to attempt the questions anyway for fun, which made me very happy. The point of this challenge was not only to stimulate you all intellectually, but to get you all to explore areas of Sleuth that you may not have known existed, or would never otherwise have gone. I hope you all had fun! :D
