Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

You have my sympathies, Shelby. You're definitely not alone in having done this. I imagine most people have at one time or another - I certainly have. It's probably the most frequent cause of the OMG reaction here in detective land !

Our agency currently has 3 treasure hunts in Shanghai all waiting on a favour from the Waitress. Two of those hunts are at the final favour stage. What are the odds that when the Waitress finally makes an appearance, that favour goes to the other (third) one? Knowing the dastardly logic of Noir I'd say those odds are pretty high!

@Sasha Stevens - once the initial shock wore off, I was happy to find that I had enough cash to wipe clean... so expensive lesson learned - don't play music that I can sing along to while playing Sleuth =P

@Kalinka - yeah, it always seems those odds are almost NEVER in our favour!

The Sleuth gods are laughing at me. A full day in Delhi, trying to get the fifth clue for my AVH. Need the Store clue and it's nowhere to be found.

@Devi - My last two AVH's have required 2 days in Delhi and all 5 clues. :/

What a morally corrupt bunch of denizens there in Cairo. They need bribes at every turn.

Had to quit a case but resisted the urge to guess on a case - I consider that a victory of principle. I had three suspects left after evidence was done. The first I eliminated 3/4 pieces of evidence and all but two witness testimonies. The second I eliminated only 2 pieces of evidence and only 1 “knows nothing” witness testimony. The third was finally ruled out by 10/11 witnesses. Seems a slam dunk to guess the second, right? I mean what are the odds that the ONE piece of physical evidence left and BOTH clammed witness statements all point to the first suspect? Especially since I hadn’t been able to check anything against #2?

Pretty good it turns out.
