I was having trouble with a random case. So I saved it. I just added advanced hair analysis to my skills. How do I analyze the hair in my case? Do I have to wait till someone else analyzes it for me? I thought that was part of being able to save it. I could come back when I had more skills.

As far as I know, you can't search a crime scene over again. So you need help from someone with a barber contact or someone in your agency to use the crime lab on the hair in that case for you.

Once a crime scene is checked once it wont change when the case is reopened by anyone else. Saving cases for later is useful if some one with the desired contact can help in your case the barber contact. It could also be useful if say the waiter clams on an alibi and you gain the waiter as your contact you can then reopen the case and unclam.Or you acquire the funds to pay foran alibi you can reopen and unclam that way that is of course if you have that option.
