For anyone not wanting (or able) to go to Shanghai, we at Wish are working on a new roleplay out of New York that we think will be fun. It's going to take us a day or two to get it straightened out, but once it's posted...anything goes!

Hm, Luc, for Role Play Stage, you don't need to travel to certain city in order to participate...
As long as it is in the public message board, anyone from anywhere can access it (except Shangri-la etc.).
The 'setting' of the story is fictional; it can be anywhere on earth (see 'Chase Around the World in 80 Days' for example).

It is exciting to hear that a new RP is coming out!! I look forward to seeing it. If i wanna join, may I?

Wow, it has gone from $100 to $20 per post? (but i guess i'd need to pay more since i talk too much :-P )
I guess people will post more now because of the 'discount'! LOL

Hey Sir William, i think you should just start your sequel with a new thread (that's what we usually does). It is not easy to get fresh players to post on an existing one with more then 3-4 pages. Too difficult to try to piece the story together.

Always good to see new RP stories coming out. Get those rolling guys! There's enough variety of people here that I'm sure different people would like to post on different stories. (ie. I never posted on the Leg-end RP knowing that my lack of a sense of humor will probably ruin it... but i 'm a big fan of that thread)

What I think Luc was trying to say, is that if y'all are planning to put this IN the actual racetrack, yes, you do need to be located in Shanghai (sorry, no way round that one). However, if the SETTING for your storyline is only going to be in Shanghai, but the actual story will be posted in City Hall, then anyone in Sleuth can join in. (A small clarification, I know, but it might confuse some people. Me, for one. ;-)

I'm also a bit confused why y'all need 'references' for this. I'd think that anybody who actually has the courage to stick their neck out and actually post something good would be not only welcomed, but free from being interviewed and examined beforehand.

Y'all wanna hire professional writers, HR's two doors down on the left, past the Water Cooler. Otherwise, I'd be glad to just get people involved in your story if I were you. :-/

Joseph, it went from 10 to 20 not 100 to 20! As for the references bit, that was to make the advert sound professional. And I don't think I need to get THAT involved in the plot, but if anyone WANTS it to be in Shanghai, my agency director would be fuming if I don't help with the hunt we're on (she's a bit strict in that area of Sleuth Noir).

Aaaah Breit, now i know where Luc was coming from. thanks! He must think that Sir William's story was posted in the race track because of the title. Nope, everyone's in the city hall. Just one clarification as well: when you say "why y'all need 'references' for this", i think Sir William is the only one requiring that.... not 'all'.... (i only helped him start up the ad since i was talking too much off topic in here and felt guilty about it) and i guess he just clarified that the 'qualification thingee' it's not actually necessary. Which is good.

Oh William, sorry i missed that "Will pay $10 per post" in your previous ad. I through you were referring to us posting in here in THIS thread (you mentioned that if we chat anymore in here, out of topic, you'll charge us $100, LOL, remember? i got that confused.... seem like there's a lot of confusions in here, even before people start RP-ing! tee hee) I absolutely do not agree that you should pay people to post though. That's not what the spirit of RP-ing at all. I hope that was just a joke :-)

I agree with Breit that anyone willing to post is commendable. It's not easy to start posting, and you learn it along the way, like riding the bike; once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. Nice breeze :-) Again, everyone is different and the stage is open to all. So feel free to try out stories that you find interesting, or even start one yourself. Old timers should post again as well, it'd be good to see more varieties. (humor, romance, horror, 30's sci-fi or the good ol' old school action-mysteries)

Okay, so that Mr. Weine won't charge me for going off topic :-P, VOLUNTEERS, feel free to give William a yell if you wanna post in his story! (WW, i still you should just start a good little opening and people will come)
