So I was on spring break one year visiting some friends in South Carolina. We went on a four hour boat tour outside of Charleston. I sat cross legged on the bow of the boat almost the entire time, wearing my shortest pair of shorts, but didn't put sunscreen on my legs. When I stood up, there was an obvious line of red vs. white diagonally on my legs. They looked like peppermint sticks, actually. And it HURT! I couldn't put a pair of jeans on at all! I had to either wear my short shorts, or sweatpants. When we got back home (near Chicago), it was SNOWING! So, while no one at school could see my legs, I could only wear sweatpants for a whole week. It was not much fun.

Once, I went to a waterpark on a school trip. I had put on sunscreen everywhere but neglected to put some on my back since I'm not really a contortionist (is that how you spell it?) and after seven hours of playing on the rides, my back was all red and hurt to touch! The next week, I had to sit up really straight to keep the fabric of my shirts from touching my back, or else it'd hurt like crazy!
