i can never decide whether to open my own or join an existing one what are the pros and cons.
i am subscribed and play every day i also have a couple of contacts.
please someone reply!!!!!!!!!!

Starting up your own agency is kinda of tough. The pros would be being the boss of your own spot. The cons are if no one joins your agency, you're responsible for making all the payments on your agency alone. It's more fun joining up with an established agency. You get a full understanding of the team dynamics and the game is more interesting with multiple contacts provided by the other agents. I'd consider joining an agency as opposed to opening one...atleast for the time being. Hope this was able to shed some light.

Jess, I would say to join an agency at first. Lots of agencies are looking for new members, and you can learn a lot from the more experienced players about the game and about running an agency.

Also lots of people seem to want to start their own new agencies (understandably), and it not always easy to find other new members which will make it harder to win hunts and build up your fame points in the agency standings.

Then you can always leave to start your own agency later - though it's nice to be upfront about this possibility when you sign on with an agency so there won't be hard feelings later.

Another possibility is Delvin's trial agency, run with Rivergallery, where they offer a short stay in their agency to see how it all works. It's called Reaper's and there are threads on the board about it.

But seeing as this is the thread for Starsky & Hutch, may I say that they sound like a great bunch of folks and if I were a new agent looking for an agency, I would leap at this chance they are providing!
